Title Occupational asthma in a steel coating plant
Bibliographic information Aug. 1985, Vol.42, No.8, p.517-524. Illus. 5 ref.
Abstract This is a report on the epidemiological investigation that lead to the identification of toluene diisocyanate (TDI) as the agent responsible for occupational asthma affecting 21 workers in a steel coating plant. The symptoms developed after a supplier had modified the coating, thereby allowing the liberation of TDI during the process. Removing TDI from the process led to the elimination or reduction of the symptoms in 17 of the workers.
