| Abstract |
Risk description and preventive measures necessary in the design, use and maintenance of emission desulfurising plants. After a survey of the relevant laws and exposure limits in effect in the Federal Republic of Germany, and of the methods used for the reduction of harmful substances in emissions, the article describes the procedures to be followed during the planning and design of such installations (particularly, access for inspection and maintenance) and the preventive measures to be taken during use (ventilation, work authorisation and entry into confined spaces, noxious dusts, use of harmful substances, sealing equipment, determination in air, respiratory equipment). |
