Bibliographic information July 1985, Vol.42, No.7, p.469-474. Illus. 22 ref.
Abstract A case-control study of 160 patients with cancer of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses and 290 controls showed an excess risk among women associated with work in the textile or clothing industries. There was no trend associated with length of service or duration since first employment. Both men and women were at an increased risk of adenocarcinoma, with further enhancement of risk for those experiencing dusty conditions. No aetiological inferences can be drawn from this study.
