Bibliographic information 1 Dec. 1983, Vol.129, p.1191-1194. 24 ref.
Abstract Age-standardised proportional mortality ratios were calculated for 10,036 male metal workers in British Columbia (Canada) with the use of information on cause of death and occupation recorded in death registrations from 1950 to 1978. A significantly increased risk of death from lung cancer was found. Increased risk of death was also found for leukaemia and cancer of the rectum in metal mill workers, Hodgkin's Disease in welders and multiple myeloma in machinists.
