Title Skin injuries caused by pesticides among farmers in a citrus fruit area

Abstract About 70% of farmers in a citrus fruit-growing area in the Ehime prefecture (Japan) had experienced contact dermatitis due to pesticides. Dithianone, maneb and manzeb were the pesticides which frequently caused skin lesions. The incidence rate of skin injuries caused by spraying pesticides was 0% in males and 3.8% in females in May, 8.2% in males and 13.0% in females in June, and increased to 26.0% in males and 50% in females in July.
