| Abstract |
This article deals solely with laying pipelines larger than 600mm diameter on dry ground. Advice on work planning, first aid and personal protective equipment is followed by: selecting the location for the site management office and depot, general preparations and marking out the route, pipe storage, pipe bending, loading and transport, assembly (work with liquefied petroleum gas, welding, electric tools, testing, hazards in pipe-laying, using groups of cranes on flat or sloping ground). Each item is considered from both the technical and accident-prevention point of view. |
