Title Evaluation of design criteria for recirculation of industrial exhaust air
Bibliographic information National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Division of Physical Sciences and Engineering, Cincinnati, Ohio 45226, USA, Apr. 1979. 202p. Illus. 21 ref.
Abstract The validity of a recommended approach to the recirculation of exhaust air (CIS 79-85) was evaluated by studying its application in the design of new recirculation systems and in retroactive applications to existing systems. This evaluation, which includes 6 detailed case studies of the application of recommendations to recirculation systems for spring grinding operations, hard-chrome plating plants, dry cleaning plants, welding operations and degreasing operations, indicates that the approach provides an appropriate framework for the design of recirculation systems and is of value in identifying and resolving health and safety problems.
