| Abstract |
The high frequency of accidents caused by the handling of reels of all sizes lead to this study of the hazards and appropriate preventive measures. The static and dynamic forces developed by stacks of coils and exerted on the chocks are studied. The resulting rules relate to the storage area of the coils and structure of stacks. These rules are compared with the safety regulations in force. |
