Importance of colours and lighting in workplace situations. Optical aids have very limited uses. Industrial sectors and situations from which those handicapped by defective colour vision should be debarred. Use of shapes and symbols to replace colours on buttons and for warning signs and lights. Importance of pre-employment vision testing. Possibilities of adaptation.
