Title Lung cancer in man in relation to different time distribution of radiation exposure.
Bibliographic information June 1979, Vol.36, No.6, p.699-706. Illus. 16 ref.
Abstract The excess of lung cancer in a large group of uranium miners followed for 26 years was related to the conditions of exposure to radon daughter products. The dose-effect relation varied with the time distribution of exposure: at higher cumulative exposures the lung cancer incidence per unit of exposure decreased as the exposure rate increased. The decrease mainly concerned small-cell undifferentiated cancer types.
