| Abstract |
Commercial pesticides contain impurities that can modify their toxic action. Studies in rats on the anticholinesterase activity and speed of degradation of S-methyl fenitrothion, formed during manufacture of fenitrothion, showed it to be metabolised more rapidly than fenitrothion. The cholinesterase reactivation time was appreciably longer. The results are consistent with the properties due to the different structure of the isomer. |
