Abstract |
The disturbing effects of these factors on detector tubes are described. Humidity has no influence on tubes of modern design. The effects of air pressure and temperature on the indicated values can be, in general, corrected by simple arithmetic. When temperatures are <0°C or >40°C, techniques must be used to bring the tube temperature into these limits during the measurements. Examples of the specific cases studied.
