Title Occupational exposure to chloromethyl ethers - A retrospective cohort mortality study (1948-1972).
Bibliographic information Nov. 1977, Vol.19, No.11, p.741-746. 25 ref.
Abstract This epidemiological study evaluated carcinogenicity of the chloromethyl ethers (CME) in 1,827 CME-exposed workers and 8,870 controls on an industry-wide basis (6 of 7 U.S. CME producers). There were no differences in non-cancer death rates. An increased risk of respiratory cancer death in CME-exposed workers was found in only one firm, where exposures were high.
