Abstract This publication contains the main papers presented at the 35th American Medical Association's Congress on occupational health, held on 29-30 Sep. 1975 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and co-sponsored by NIOSH. The aim was to develop information to assist private practitioners with part-time occupational medical responsibilities. Topics presented were: epidemiology for part-time occupational physicians; identification and rehabilitation of the problem drinker; potential trauma at the workplace; agricultural hazards; maximum utilisation of the handicapped worker; behavioural aspects of injuries; occupational injury control; and hazardous particulates and noise.
