Title Clinical and biochemical abnormalities in coppersmiths exposed to cadmium.
Bibliographic information 21 Aug. 1976, Vol.2, No.7982, p.396-398. 24 ref.
Abstract Findings in 27 coppersmiths exposed to cadmium fumes during brazing operations were compared with a control group. Renal stones were found in 5 them (18.5%). The exposed group showed evidence of renal impairment, a greater tendency to liver damage, and a higher incidence of restrictive airways disease. Comments by Morgan W.K.C. on this paper appear in Lancet, 11 Sep. 1976, Vol.2, No.7985, p.585-586.
