| Abstract |
Description of a method by which blood concentrations of α- β- γ-benzene hexachloride, aldrin, dieldrin, heptachlor, heptaclor epoxide, p,p'-DDE, p,p'-DDD, o,p'-DDT, p,p'-DDT and methoxychlor are determined. The sensitivity of the method varies from 5x10-4ppm for the first 3 compounds to 1x10-2ppm for the methoxychlor. The sample is treated with 86% formic acid and extracted with hexane. The Al2O3 column is activated at 450°C for 4-5 hours and partly deactivated by adding 3% water. The carrier gas is nitrogen at 60ml/min. |
