| Abstract |
Summary of the proceedings of the joint FAO/ILO/IMCO meeting (London, 11 to 15 Feb. 1974), whose main objective was to finalise Part B of the Code of safety for fishermen and fishing vessels - safety and health requirements for the construction and equipment of fishing vessels. This Part B constitutes the main part of the document. It deals with the design, construction, stability, machinery and equipment of fishing vessels 24m or more in length. There are chapters on fire protection, protection of the crew, life-saving appliances and crew accommodation, promoting specifically the safety and health of the crew. |
