| Abstract |
160 precision-grinding machine operators, turners and milling-machine operators from 14 to 19 years of age were examined. Acne due to contact with cutting fluid was diagnosed in 100 of them. Preventive measures proposed include the installation of screens providing protection against splashes, the wearing of impermeable protective clothing, taking a hot shower after work and applying a barrier cream consisting of levomycetin (2.0%), salicylic acid (2.5%), thymol (1.0%) and alcohol (excipient). |
