Abstract These tests, conducted by the French National Research and Safety Institute, are the first in a series intended to test the resistance of gloves to 10 solvents (trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, trichloroethane, toluene, white spirit, cyclohexane, acetone, methylethylketone, ethyl acetate, ethanol). There were 3 types of test: destruction by soaking, permeability to solvent, and measurements of speed of solvent passage across the glove. Results are tabulated.
