| Abstract |
Results of investigations into the air exchange in welding shops show that, under the conditions investigated, it is not possible to speak of maximum dust concentrations at a given height above the shop floor. The investigations also proved that the highest dust concentrations are generally found immediately under the shop roof, and this regardless of its height. The concentrations measured in the working zone and close to the welding sets were lower than those measured at other points of the shop because of the dilution ventilation provided by outside air which enters into the floor zone of the shop. |
