The following aspects are considered: body posture; working clothes; safety glasses; cleanliness and good housekeeping; checks and test runs before starting up work; design and fitment of face-plates and chucks; chuck and between-centre work (typical accidents, electrically interlocked guards, etc.); chip formation and swarf evacuation; work with emery cloth, files and scrapers; turning with lathe tools; coolants; measuring; switching the lathe on and off. |
