| Abstract |
This booklet makes recommendations concerning the responsibilities, job descriptions, qualifications and training of personnel directly responsible for, or involved in, accident prevention in the paper industry (management, supervisors, training officers, safety officers and members of safety committees). Syllabuses of introductory courses for safety officers, safety committees and new employees are outlined, information is given on special hazards in the paper and paper products industry and accident recording procedures, and the work and publications in the field of safety of relevant employers' organisations are indicated. Appendices include the job description and required qualifications of a group safety adviser/engineer, minimum accident prevention knowledge necessary for others concerned with safety, an example of a safety survey check list, and a reading list. |
