| Abstract |
The new rapid trench-shoring techniques do not eliminate all hazards. Nevertheless, correct choice of techniques makes it possible to reduce these hazards to a large degree provided certain basic rules are observed. A table compares the various techniques, indicating their uses and their advantages and disadvantages from the point of view of safety. |
