Abstract Smoking is banned in workplaces and enclosed public spaces across the United Kingdom. Employers, managers or persons in control of premises must display no-smoking notices and take reasonable steps to ensure that staff, customers and visitors are aware of the ban. Aimed at occupational safety and health professionals, this leaflet offers guidance on creating, managing and maintaining a smoke-free workplace.
