Original title Les leçons à tirer des accidents électriques [in French]
Bibliographic information May 2011, p.12-15. Illus.
Abstract This article presents the findings of a Health and Safety Executive Report according to which 40% of fatal occupational accidents in the United Kingdom implicate electricity. The report is based on the analysis of accidents reported between 1996 and 2008. The article next proposes seven "golden rules" for working safely in the presence of electrical equipment. It also includes boxes containing short electrical accident descriptions together with the lessons to be learned, with reference to the "golden rules".
