Abstract This issue publishes an extensive summary of the recent EU-OSHA's investigation on new and emerging risks (ESENER) at workplaces in Europe. The survey provides comparable data for EU Member States relevant to the elaboration and implementation of new occupational safety and health policies. The data were collected in the spring of 2009 from public- and private-sector companies with more than ten employees, in all sectors of economic activity except agriculture. A large part is devoted to psychosocial hazards.
