Abstract Occupational diseases, including cancers, place a heavy burden on public health. Today, cancer constitutes the first cause of death. In industrialized countries, occupational cancers are estimated to account for 5-10% of all cancers. This article on occupational cancers focuses on the legal aspects of prevention in Belgium.
