Abstract This report presents the findings of a research project to identify the specific management behaviours associated with the effective management of stress at work. It involved a literature survey, interviews with managers, subordinates and stakeholders, and workshops with stress experts. The resulting indicator tool consists of four competencies and 12 sub-competencies, with a total of 66 items.
