Abstract This report provides an economic dimension to existing research efforts addressing the incidence and prevalence measures of loss associated with fatal occupational injury. It presents economic costs using revised methods and fatal occupational injury counts identified through the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI) programme.
