Abstract This report presents proposals pertaining to the prevention of occupational hazards arising from carcinogens, mutagens and substances toxic to reproductive health (CMRs), particularly from the standpoint of improved understanding workers' exposures by means of the traceability of occupational exposure data, the requirements with respect to the conservation of the data, the conditions governing access to this information and its relationship with general medical practice.
