Title Levels of metals and organic substances in workers at a hazardous waste incinerator: A follow-up study
Bibliographic information Mar. 2009, Vol.82, No.4, p.519-528. 51 ref.
Abstract The objective of this study was to determine the blood and urine concentrations of various metals and organic substances in workers at a hazardous waste incinerator in Catalonia, Spain, and to compare the findings with those of previous surveys in 2000 and 2005. For all metals and organic compounds analyzed, there was no significant increase compared to previous levels. However, the levels of certain specific PCBs and PCDD/Fs were very significantly lower than the baseline concentrations.
