| Abstract |
The objective of this study was to give an account of the main aspects of the organization and functioning of labour inspection systems within the construction industry of various countries. Data were supplied by the countries themselves, based on a questionnaire prepared by the ILO. Topics addressed: types of problems encountered by labour inspection services in the construction industry (conditions of work, occupational hazards); types of inspection; participation of industry representatives in labour inspection; operational methods of labour inspectorates in the construction industry. |
