Abstract This full issue is devoted to the potential impact of an influenza pandemic on enterprises in France and the means for preparing to respond. It includes interviews, opinions and advice of various specialists and responsible persons including a senior public health official, an expert on biological hazards at the INRS, an occupational health physician, the safety and health officer of a multinational enterprise and the head of the ILO task force, who explains the role of the organization with respect to the risk of a bird pandemic (protecting the means of subsistence, ensure the compliance with international health agreements, reinforce synergies between national and international bodies, supply relevant information).
