Abstract This document presents the findings of a survey on working conditions and competitiveness in the steel industry in Argentina. The survey involved two large steel companies together with 43 of their suppliers. Various indicators of quality, the preventive measures implemented and human resources were analysed. Findings are discussed. Appendices include the questionnaires that were used as a basis for the survey.
