Abstract This booklet provides simple and practical advice to persons responsible for fire safety in small and medium businesses. In particular, it provides guidance on how to ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It includes a proposed five-step approach for fire safety risk assessment and examples of how to modify the layout of premises to reduce the hazards.
