Abstract The objective of this study was to examine the dynamics surrounding training and learning for the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders among poultry industry workers. Data were obtained from video recordings of interviews with trainers, trainees and those responsible for training. Data analysis revealed the importance of relationship dynamics and the role of trainers. The study provided an understanding of the situation in the food industry and determined the obstacles and the factors favouring the implementation of a dynamic for the promotion of safe working methods.
