Abstract These Regulations implement in Great Britain certain provisions of Council Directive 92/91/EEC (see CIS 93-23). They define "safety case" as a document containing specified information relating to the management of health and safety and the control of major accident hazards. Such documents must be prepared and submitted to the appropriate authority before any operators of offshore installations are allowed to function. The Regulations replace S.I. 1992 No.2885 on the same subject.
