| Abstract |
This document presents an approach to radiation protection applicable to all occupational situations that could give rise to ionizing radiation exposure. It is emphasized that the control of exposure requires the active participation of the enterprise and all persons involved in occupational safety and health. Contents: effects of ionizing radiation; general principles of radiation protection and risk control; specific precautions for ionizing radiation (identification of dangerous situations, risk evaluation and implementation of preventive measures). Includes data sheets on the evaluation of external exposure and the risk of contamination by inhalation, ingestion and contact. |
