||This report was prepared for the ILO World Day for Safety and Health at Work, 28 April 2006. It describes the role of occupational safety and health in the ILO's decent work agenda and the contribution of SafeWork to this agenda. The focus of the 2006 World Day was the issue of HIV/AIDS in the workplace and this report discusses the role of employers' and workers' organizations in the response to HV/AIDS, psychosocial issues at work, HIV/AIDS and labour inspection and the need for information and education on occupational safety and health.
