Abstract This information note provides guidance on how to plan the sampling of biological agents for the purposes of evaluating the exposure of workers. Contents: general aspects of the approach; questions to raise during the monitoring of biological agents (purpose of the measurement, location of frequency of the sampling, selection of the sampling equipment, number of samples to be collected); volume and duration of the sampling; rules for the determination of airborne microorganisms and endotoxins as specified in the standard UNE EN 13098.
