Abstract International Chemical Safety Card published in 2003 (Spanish version already abstracted under CIS 00-638). Exposure routes: inhalation and skin absorption. Short-term exposure effects: irritation of the skin, eyes and respiratory tract; aspiration into the lungs may result in chemical pneumonitis. Long-term exposure effects: prolonged or repeated contact may induce skin sensitization. Threshold limit value: 2ppm (ACGIH 2002); MAK 2ppm; pregnancy risk group: D (DFG 2003). Synonyms: acrylic acid n-butyl ester; 2-propenoic acid, butyl ester; butyl 2-propenoate.
