Abstract This document contains two texts. The first consist of a code of practice aimed at protection against ionizing radiation for workers engaged in the mining and milling of radioactive ores. It covers the following topics: general provisions; radiation surveillance; medical surveillance; protective measures and equipment for the control of radioactive dusts and gases. The second text is a technical addendum providing technical information which may be helpful in the application of control measures.
