Abstract A health hazard evaluation (HHE) is an evaluation of possible hazards at a workplace. These booklets aimed at employees, employees' representatives and employers give basic guidance on the NIOSH health hazard evaluation programme. Main topics covered: definition and purpose of HHEs; persons or organizations empowered to request an HHE; steps of the HHE procedure; confidentiality of data; reporting of HHE results; form for requesting an HHE.
