Title Mental health issues in the workplace: A case for a new managerial approach
Bibliographic information Dec. 2001, Vol.43, No.12, p.1073-1080. 27 ref.
Abstract Anger, stress, and depression in the workplace are growing concerns. The purpose of this study was to assess whether a traditional worksite health promotion program had an impact on mental health factors. Results suggest that these programmes play only a limited role in improving work-related mental health. Rather, management should play a greater role in addressing workplace stress, anger and depression.
