Contains strategic assessments and policy recommendations. It was produced under the purview of the Youth Employment Network (YEN) established by the Government of Sri Lanka involving senior policy-makers from government agencies and institutions, the private sector and the civil society.

The objective of the National Action Plan (NAP) for Youth Employment is to ensure that talents and aspirations of youth in relation to the labour market are fulfilled. It addresses existing inequalities and outlines how to provide opportunities for young people to realise their full potential thereby contributing to economic growth. The plan is based on an in-depth analysis of Sri Lanka’s labour market, which is presented in the report.
