New safety and health issues emerge as the world of work changes

The ILO Country Office for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, together with the Ministry of Labour and Trade Union Relations, Department of Labour, National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) and trade unions will hold an event on Occupational Safety and Health at work on the 27th of June in Colombo.

ILO in collaboration with the Department of Labour will conduct a 2 day workshop from 5-6 April 2019 to review the existing Dispute Resolution Mechanisms with a view to streamlining the current processes (including the gender dimension) in delivering more effective and efficient advisory services and improving responsiveness.

‘New Trends in Social Security’
21 - 22 January 2019
On the request of the Employees Trust Fund Board (ETFB), the ILO Country office for Sri Lanka and Maldives will conduct a training programme for officials of the ETFB between 21-22 January 2019, which will focus on social security reforms in India; extending social security to organised and unorganised workers in India; and learning from those experiences.

Business Continuity Management Training for Government Officers working with MSMEs in Ratnapura and Kalutara Districts
