ILO Migration Skills Project  (ILO/IOM Collaboration) funded by SDC organize this workshop together with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) for sharing of global and experiences of mobility of workers and to further discuss Sri Lanka’s current state of National Vocational Qualification Framework (NVQF) under National Qualification Framework (NQF). It intends to gather stakeholder’s ideas and create awareness among them in order to gain the commitment to be partakers of the development of a regionally harmonized NQF which could benefit local as well as migrant workers.
The workshop has following objectives;

• Bring together relevant stakeholders from the government, professional organizations, development partners, academe, and industries to enhance their understanding and comprehension on NQF/NVQFs;
• Learn from international and regional best practices on NQF/ NVQF implementation;
• Map and mobilize stakeholders for consensus building towards the development/enhancement of NQF/NVQF and its intention to reference it’s to the proposed regional framewor
