COVID-19 and the world of work

  1. A 10 step tool for a safe and healthy return to work in times of COVID-19

    This tool was developed to assist employers, workers and their representatives to adopt preventive measures in the workplace against the risk of contagion of COVID-19 and other risks associated with the pandemic; encourage effective social dialogue on OSH as a key element for a safe and healthy return to workplaces; and promote good practices at sector and establishment levels in the formulation of OSH protocols to address safety and health in times of COVID-19, based on, among others, preventive principles and social dialogue.

  2. COVID-19 and the world of work

    The world of work is being profoundly affected by the global virus pandemic. In addition to the threat to public health, the economic and social disruption threatens the long-term livelihoods and wellbeing of millions. The ILO and its constituents – Governments, workers and employers – will play a crucial role in combating the outbreak, ensuring the safety of individuals and the sustainability of businesses and jobs.

    Five UN agencies collaborate to support the evolution of Trinidad and Tobago's National Statistical System

    A donation of mobile equipment, provided by the ILO with financial support from the UN Joint SDG Fund, is intended to support the roll out of the new continuous sample of the population survey (CSSP) and will be used specifically to collect survey questions' results within individual households and then proceed to advanced analysis of the microdata by a dedicated CSO team.
