Publications

The ILO publishes a wide range of books, reports, working papers, training manuals relevant to the world of work in Central and Eastern Europe. Some of these can be downloaded directly. Others can be requested in hard copy from the Communication office of ILO DWT/CO-Budapest. All publications of the DWT/CO-Budapest are available in Labordoc, database of ILO publications.

    In the context of globalization and regional integration, a greater flow of people across national boundaries and more diverse forms of migration are creating new challenges as migrant workers face multiple disadvantages in working conditions, including lack of social security. Ensuring the right of social security for migrant workers is important from points of view of securing the equality of treatment in social security for migrant workers, and of extending the social security coverage for currently unprotected population. This publication provides the materials which explain step-by-step guide to negotiate, conclude and implement social security agreements for Moldovan experts' training organized in March 2010 in Chisinau.

  10. Gender equality in the labour market in Ukraine

    Provides an overview of the economic and social situation in Ukraine, focuses on the impact of the economic crisis on working men and women, and emphasizes the role of social dialogue in promoting gender equality and non discrimination at work. Looks at the main social partner organizations and provides an overview of the existing social dialogue institutions and analyses their effectiveness in promoting gender equality. Examines the collective agreement as a potentially effective tool for promoting gender equality and non discrimination at the workplace, and explores collective bargaining agreements from a gender equality perspective.
