Creating a client-friendly working environment in the State Migration Service in Ukraine

The project aims to foster a non-discriminatory governmental refugee status determination procedure and government services to stateless persons based on their HIV/TB/LGBTQI status.

By the end of the project, a client-friendly working environment in the State Migration Services (SMS) in Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Volyn and Zakarpatia regions will be created to reduce stigma and discrimination towards asylum seekers and stateless persons, who have real or perceived HIV positive status, TB, and representatives of key populations including LGBTIQ persons. 

More specifically, the project will  assist to
- train 75 employees of the State Migration Service on  HIV and TB prevention, including on LGBTIQ/HIV and on communication skills to adapt to the needs of the vulnerable groups, and 
- draft HIV workplace policy or Code of Conduct for the State Migration Service based on international standards, relevant ILO Conventions and Recommendations.
